Highlights of the NMAX 155 (MY26)

With its iconic MAX-inspired design, first class finish and extra features, NMAX 155 is an ideal scooter for car drivers and returning riders who want to experience the freedom of two wheels and the first step on the MAX sport scooter ladder.

A refined riding experience awaits owners of the NMAX 155 with two ride modes and the ability to downshift to allow the bike to accelerate or decelerate on command. Smooth suspension improves rider and pillion comfort, while cutting edge exterior styling and a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and onboard navigation is specified for added convenience.

Powerful Blue Core Engine

A liquid-cooled, 4-stroke SOHC, 155cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve fuel-injected Blue Core engine with YECVT is adopted delivering excellent power and torque characteristics.

Yamaha Electric Continuously Variable Transmission (YECVT)

YECVT works by electronically adjusting the CVT’s reduction ratio to increase the range of control available to the rider, such as when they want to access strong acceleration for overtaking, or if they want to use engine braking when slowing. Pressing the Shift button on the left hand switch gear activates a downshift, with up to three successive downshifts can be performed with the Shift button and the number of downshifts are shown on the instrument panel.

Ride Mode Selection

To expand the fun of riding NMAX 155, two ride modes are available. Town mode (T) is designed for daily commuting with greater fuel economy while Sport mode (S) is for out of town sporty riding. When decelerating the difference between the two modes can be felt because their engine braking characteristics differ.

MAX Inspired Styling

The front and rear faces of the bike, which feature all-LED lighting, are designed to make the biggest impact possible. At the same time, the design follows other MAX scooters with the headlight forming a reversed pair of Ns as its design motif.

High comfort suspension

For a confident and enjoyable ride on a variety of road surfaces the NMAX is equipped with smooth action telescopic front forks giving 100mm of wheel movement – and at the rear end there's 91mm of wheel movement for rider and passenger comfort. So whether you're in town or on the highway you can expect a comfortable ride.

Connected dashboard

A stylish instrument cluster features two displays - one TFT display and one LCD display. The TFT display can show information about the bike and smartphone information via Bluetooth®. By installing the Garmin StreetCross navigation app for motorcycles on the user’s smartphone and connecting it to the bike’s CCU, the TFT display can be used as an onboard navigation system.

Two-level Seat

The cockpit and seating area have been designed in detail to inspire pride of ownership. In particular, the seat on the NMAX employs a tactile surface with gold-stitch seams and a special emblem.

Smart Key System

NMAX is one of the most sophisticated scooters in the class, and it comes with Yamaha’s Smart Key system as standard equipment. As long as you have the Smart Key with you in a pocket or bag, this keyless system allows you to turn your NMAX on, saving time and making the whole process much simpler and more convenient.

Underseat Storage System

As well as being Yamaha’s sportiest and most dynamic scooter in the Urban Mobility class, the NMAX also has a practical side that makes it the ideal companion for work and play. Flip up the contoured dual seat and you’ll be able to access the spacious storage compartment that’s big enough to accommodate your personal items when parked.
