VERSATILE ENGINE FOR WORK AND RECREATION

Game-changing performance: With its Kawasaki-built litre-class In-Line Four engine mounted in a sturdy chassis, the RIDGE CREW is well-equipped to take on a wide range of conditions, be they on the jobsite or on the trail. Power Modes and on-the-fly selectable drivetrain adjustability enhance the control offered by the high-power, high-torque engine and CVT.

• ENGINE - Kawasaki-Built 999 cc Liquid-Cooled, 4-Stroke In-Line Four Engine: Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-Line Four engine offers smooth power delivery with extremely linear, lag-free response that benefits both acceleration control and ride comfort. High power (68.6 kW / 93 PS) and high torque (89 Nm) accommodate a wide range of work and recreation applications, while the pleasant sound of the highly distinct exhaust note is quiet enough for drivers and passengers to converse in the cabin. (This vehicle’s engine output was measured according to ISO standard 4106).
• CVT - Continuously Variable Transmission: Continuously variable transmission (CVT) offers very smooth response, facilitating vehicle operation. Optimised CVT internals contribute to smooth off-throttle acceleration and reduced noise when going up hills or under other high loads. Thanks to carefully tuned engine settings, the CVT belt catch and release is extremely smooth and natural, and ensures that the belt stays engaged until almost completely stopped, contributing to reassuring engine braking on downhill slopes.
• POWER - Power Mode Selection: A choice of Work, Normal, and Sport modes allows drivers to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions. The milder throttle response offered by Work mode contributes to superb low-speed control when carrying a load and facilitates maintaining a constant low speed using minimal throttle even when driving on an uneven surface. In Sport mode, the sharper, more linear throttle response suits sportier driving. Normal mode offers a balance between the two, offering smooth engine response from the time the throttle is opened.
• DRIVE - On-the-Fly Electrically Selectable 4WD & Rear Differential Lock: Electrically selectable 4WD and rear differential lock allow drivers to quickly and easily switch between drive systems to suit changing terrain and applications while on the go. Locking the rear differential causes the rear wheels to act as a single axle, ensuring maximum traction when riding in muddy or snowy conditions.

Purposeful Design: Complementing its litre-class In-Line Four engine and sturdy chassis, the RIDGE CREW’s long-travel suspension, high ground clearance and a substantial cargo capacity give it the versatility for both work and play.

• SUSPENSION - Long-travel suspension: Double-wishbone suspension is used both front and rear to enable each of the wheels to navigate obstacles with minimum effect on the chassis. Long wheel travel (F: 323 mm; R: 322 mm) contributes to both ground clearance and ride comfort. Shock units with optimised suspension settings offer superb ground-following performance and a balance of comfort and damping that helps deliver a composed ride and minimises roll speed.
• CLEARANCE - High Ground Clearance: High 335 mm ground clearance reduces the chances of the RIDGE CREW scraping its bottom, translating to greater accessibility whether at work or at play, and contributing to superb ride comfort.
• WHEELS - 27” Tyres with 14” Aluminium Wheels: 27” large-diameter tyres and 14” aluminium wheels contribute to the RIDGE CREW’s excellent off-road capability. Machined finishing along the wheel spokes calls attention to the height of the tyres, contributing to a tough, durable image.
• CARGO BED - 453-kg Capacity Tilting Cargo Bed with Detachable Tailgate: At 880 mm long and with a 453 kg cargo bed capacity, the RIDGE CREW’s flat cargo bed has plenty of room to carry work equipment or recreation gear. The tailgate can be removed without tools.

• CHASSIS - Chassis Designed for Comfort: Designed from the start with comfort in mind for both front and rear passengers, the RIDGE CREW’s broad stance contributes to a composed handling character and ride comfort. Its frame was designed to accommodate long-travel suspension and the concurrently designed full-cab, ensuring a high level of comfort. Even on the move, low noise and low vibration translate to serene calm and quiet composure inside the cabin.
• ROOMY INTERIOR - Roomy Interior with Seating for Six: The RIDGE CREW’s roomy cabin offers ample space for up to six people, with shoulder and legroom for three people to sit comfortably side-by-side in both the front and rear. Contoured seating for the outer four seats provides comfortable cushioning and support. A lever-adjustable driver’s seat and tilt steering allow the driver to fine-tune their position for control and comfort. The rear seats feature comfort-enhancing touches like cup holders and storage nets so that riding in the back is equally as comfortable as in the front.
• STORAGE - Abundant Storage : Storage space abounds in the RIDGE CREW. A passenger-side glove box, and another lidded compartment above the glove box provide enclosed storage for small items. A DC socket in the dashboard provides power for accessories, and two USB ports are available inside the lidded storage above the glove box. Two storage nets on the back of the front bench seat offer rear-seat passengers a convenient place to keep items. Addition storage space is available behind the rear seats and under the front and rear passenger seats.
