Ninja ZX-10RR Special Features: The Ninja ZX-10RR, a limited-production (500 units worldwide) track-focused single-seat model, enhances the potential of the base model with further engine and chassis modifications, including Pankl titanium connecting rods and lightweight pistons, a titanium coating on the fork inner tubes, and fine-tuned rear suspension settings.

  • PANKL - Pankl Performance Parts: The Ninja ZX-10RR features special high-performance titanium connecting rods and lightweight pistons designed by Pankl, a company specialising in developing and manufacturing engine and drivetrain components for formula race cars, high performance vehicles and the aerospace industry. These high-performance parts, which contribute approximately 500 g in weight savings, were developed specifically for the Ninja ZX-10RR.
  • SUSPENSION - Titanium Fork Coating: On the Ninja ZX-10RR, a super-hard titanium coating on the outer surface of the fork’s the inner tubes reduces sliding friction (stiction) and improves action, contributing to the smoother ride. At the rear, spring preload initial settings and damping settings were optimised for the single-seat Ninja ZX-10RR.

STYLED FOR AERODYNAMICS

Form Follows Function: A prime example of form following function, the Ninja ZX-10R’s latest bodywork was developed with aerodynamic performance as a top priority. The redesigned front cowl features large winglets that significantly increase downforce at high speeds. Combined with updated chassis geometry, the new aerodynamic package enhances high-speed control, cornering performance, and overall circuit potential.

  • WINGLETS - Large Winglets: The winglets extending to either side not only highlight the machine’s advanced aerodynamic performance, but also effectively generate downforce that increases front-end feel for greater cornering confidence.
  • STYLING - Next-Generation Ninja Styling: Compact projector/reflector hybrid headlights, repositioned Ram Air intake and prominent new winglets give the Ninja ZX-10R its new “face,” enhancing the strong Ninja family image. All-new sharp, aggressive bodywork creates a dynamic image that completes the next-generation Ninja styling.
  • ERGONOMICS - Aerodynamic Riding Position: Handlebar and footpeg positions contribute to an aggressive, circuit-focused riding position that also helps riders minimise drag when tucked behind the windshield going down the straight.

BUILDING ON WORLDSBK-PROVEN PERFORMANCE

High-level circuit riding potential: With an engine and chassis designed for chasing lap times on the track, the Ninja ZX-10R offers a high level of circuit riding potential. To ensure it continues its race-winning ways, Kawasaki engineers fine-tuned the chassis geometry to fully capitalise on the enhanced aerodynamics.

  • ENGINE - Powerful 998 cc Liquid-Cooled, 4-Stroke In-Line Four: The Ninja ZX-10R’s engine balances stunning power with manageability, offering linear power delivery right to its heady peak power. For maximum track-riding efficiency, great care was taken to ensure ideal engine manageability during all parts of the corner: getting off the throttle in corner entry, getting back on the throttle mid-corner, opening the throttle on corner exit. The new engine maintains the high performance of its predecessor while offering improved emissions.
  • RR PERFORMANCE - Pankl Performance Parts: High-performance Pankl titanium connecting rods and lightweight Pankl pistons contribute to the Ninja ZX-10RR’s quick-revving performance, adding to riding excitement on the track.
  • GEOMETRY - Light Handling Chassis: Adding to the Ninja ZX-10R’s highly acclaimed control, cornering performance, and light handling, updates to the chassis geometry—tuned to match the effect of the new winglets—contribute to improved rear-wheel traction and enhanced secondary cornering force, which facilitates steering the bike from the rear when track riding.
  • SUSPENSION - High-Grade Showa Suspension: Circuit-focused settings for the WorldSBK-developed BFF (Balance Free Front Fork) and BFRC lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion) shock facilitate front-rear weight transfer and contribute to light handling.

TECHNOLOGY TO HELP RIDERS EXPLORE THE LIMIT

IMU-Enhanced Electronics Package: Powered by Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modelling program and enhanced with input from a Bosch IMU, the Ninja ZX-10R’s cutting-edge electronics contribute to the riding excitement of piloting a high-performance supersport machine.

  • KCMF - Kawasaki Cornering Management Function: Using the latest evolution of this advanced modelling software and feedback from a compact IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), KCMF monitors engine and chassis parameters throughout the corner – from entry, through the apex, to corner exit – modulating brake force and engine power to facilitate smooth transition from acceleration to braking and back again, and to assist riders in holding their intended line through the corner.
  • S-KTRC - Sport-Kawasaki TRaction Control: S-KTRC, Kawasaki’s hybrid predictive/feedback-type traction control, helps riders push harder on the racetrack by maximising acceleration.
  • KLCM - Kawasaki Launch Control Mode: Designed to assist racers by optimising acceleration from a stop, KLCM electronically manages engine output to minimise wheelspin and wheel lift when launching.
  • KIBS - Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System: KIBS, Kawasaki’s supersport-grade brake management system, uses high-precision control to regulate brake pressure during sport riding.
  • KAWASAKI ENGINE BRAKE CONTROL - Control your Speed: The Kawasaki Engine Brake Control system allows riders to select the amount of engine braking they prefer.
  • KQS - Kawasaki Quick Shifter: Dual-direction KQS system allows both clutchless upshifts and downshifts, facilitating circuit riding.

ENHANCED STREET-RIDING EXPERIENCE

Technology for Street-Riding Enjoyment: Features like integrated Riding Modes, Electronic Cruise Control, and TFT instrumentation with turn-by-turn navigation capability add convenience and entertainment value, increasing street-riding enjoyment. (Navigation functions will be available only to users who have a licence. Feature availability varies by market).

  • INTEGRATED RIDING MODES - Traction control and power delivery at the push of a button: All-inclusive modes that link S-KTRC (available in 5 modes) and Power Modes (in addition to Full Power, the Ninja ZX-10R offers Middle and Low modes) allow riders to efficiently set traction control and power delivery to suit a given riding situation.
  • ELECTRONIC CRUISE CONTROL - Increased Riding Comfort: Kawasaki’s cruise control system allows a desired speed to be maintained with the simple press of a button. Once activated, the rider does not have to constantly apply the throttle. This reduces stress on the right hand when traveling long distances, enabling relaxed cruising and contributing to a high level of riding comfort.
  • TFT INSTRUMENTATION - Full-Colour TFT Instrumentation: A larger 5” all-digital TFT colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance. The display can be switched between two display types. Type 1 prominently shows an analogue-style tachometer with turn-by-turn directions and simple vehicle information. Type 2 shows a bar-style tachometer along the top with simple vehicle information complemented by racetrack-handy lap timer. A race-style shift lamp built into the meter housing provides the rider with a highly visible signal to shift up when riding on the circuit.
  • CONNECTED - Smartphone Connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE: Using the smartphone application “RIDEOLOGY THE APP,” a number of instrument functions can be accessed wirelessly, contributing to an enhanced motorcycling experience. The new version of the smartphone app now offers the ability for riders to control the app with voice commands, which allows them adjust motorcycle settings, set GPS routes and more orally. When paired with RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE, turn-by-turn navigation can be displayed on the instrument panel. (RIDEOLOGY THE APP is not intended for use during vehicle operation. Only use RIDEOLOGY THE APP when the vehicle is not being operated and it is safe to do so.
