About this range of bikes

The 2025 Honda CRF250RX delivers the power and handling of the latest CRF250R, with chassis and suspension specially tuned for cross-country riding. Lightweight and agile, it’s built to tackle tough terrain with ease. Backed by Honda’s racing expertise, the CRF250RX combines race-proven technology with practical features like an 18” rear wheel, HRC launch control, and a larger fuel tank. From gnarly climbs to intense technical terrain, it’s designed to perform at the highest level.

Redesigned Twin Spar Aluminium Frame: Featuring a lighter, more responsive frame with narrow main spars, enhancing tuning performance. Designed with input from Team Honda HRC riders.

Key features

249cc Liquid-Cooled Single Cylinder Engine

The DOHC cylinder-head design combined with the straight short intake and efficient exhaust flow boost low-speed and midrange torque as well as throttle response.

Cross country tyres

The CRF250RX tyres, 80/100-21 at the front and 110/100-18 at the rear, are specifically designed for cross country use, so you can ride the way you want, where you want.

Large fuel tank

Large plastic 8L fuel tank, ideal for cross country rides, lets you keep riding for longer.

New Triple clamps, Axle and Steering Stem

New triple clams for 2025 work with a revised fork, front axle and steering stem to provide a consistent suspension feel and improve rigidity, responsiveness and tuning performance.

Selectable Engine Modes and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)

The simple handlebar mounted button lets you dial in the engine power delivery character with a thumb push. Choose standard, smooth and aggressive mode depending on track conditions or rider preference. Changing terrain requires power character. This bike features our Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) depending on the available traction you can choose from one of three settings to dial your bike in perfectly.

Nine Plate Clutch

Featuring a durable nine-plate clutch assembly designed for enhanced torque transmission. Its optimised design minimises slip at peak power, delivers a lighter clutch pull, and offers a smoother, more precise engagement.

Redesigned Twin Spar Aluminium Frame

The CRF250RX frame is the foundation for the bike’s exceptional handling. Almost identical to a motocross one, just with a lower engine mount. The short swingarm delivers better rear-wheel traction, and reduces unsprung mass, important considering how much power you have on tap.

Showa® Spring Fork Suspension

The 49mm Showa® fork has a traditional spring design and a 39mm piston with a 25mm rod diameter that enhance precision, handling and feel. Upgrades in 2025 include new springs, seals, values for a consistent stroke feel across the full range.

Fine-tuning the seat height and narrowing the bodywork improves rider mobility and enhances overall comfort.

Electric Start

Our Africa Twins feature 18.8-litre fuel tanks, while our Adventure Sports models increase that capacity to 24-litres, enough for super-sized adventures.
